We recently sold our Tartan 37 through Justin at Townsville Yacht & Broker Brokerage. We were looking for a quick sale, as we had purchased a yacht overseas and had an airline ticket as a deadline! The sale was further complicated by us living on the Atherton Tablelands and the yacht being located in Cairns. Nevertheless, Justin was confident that he could sell it for us within the timeframe. Throughout the process he kept us abreast of interested parties and organised visits to our yacht. Justin completed the sale of our yacht within two months and close to our asking price. We thank Justin for the sale of our boat. It was on the market for such a short time and had several interested buyers look over the boat. Using a brokerage company proved helpful as it not only generated the potential buyers, Justin was able to discuss our boat with the interested parties and provide any additional information they needed well before we were brought into the picture. His professionalism removed any undue stress as he created a structure on the process and gave us confidence that we only spoke to serious buyers. When he received an offer, he managed the process and the deposit, then he was able to tell us what we were required to do next eg sea trials,,documents required and paperwork to complete for the sale and what the buyer was responsible for. This was helpful as we had never sold a boat before and this structure gave us peace of mind. The cost of a broker was worth all the effort Justin put into the sale of our boat.
