Details
Winner of Cruising Worlds Best Production Cruiser in 2001.
To create a fast passagemaker, Beneteau turned to a design team with deep experience in both racing and cruising: the French naval architects Berret/Racopeau Yacht Design, based in La Rochelle, France. The hull is solid fiberglass with a structural inner grid and fiberglass floors. The deck is balsa cored. There is a complete deck liner, or head liner, which encapsulates the upper sections of the bulkheads. Liners have many production advantages and offer easy maintenance and good insulation. The keel is externally fastened with stainless bolts, and the mast is deck-stepped with a compression post. The 393 cockpit is comfortable and well thought out. Easy to sail and with a quick turn of speed the 393 is a great cruising yacht.

From the owners

From 1994 until 2006, we lived aboard our beautiful, big ketch, completing a leisurely global circumnavigation. Now we are retired, spending much of the year in Spain.

However, we missed sailing and the lovely Qld waters of our home state. We spent at least a year searching for our ideal yacht and finally found the lovely Mar Bella, Beneteau 39.3 Clipper, which ticks all the boxes - spacious, quick, easy to handle, efficient power systems ( which we've upgraded further), ample water, fantastic fridge/ freezer, 3 burner Italian stove, davits, excellent ground tackle - the list goes on. We instantly bonded.

After our season of sailing, we left her on Magnetic Island as it is in the midst of the fabled cruising grounds of Nth Qld to return to Spain. Due to the corona virus, our flights back in April were cancelled and it is unclear when we can return to Mar Bella but it looks like a very long time.

We'd been planning to get Australian rego and start preparations for the rally to the Louisiades in September. Therefore, it is with great reluctance and disappointment that we face reality and put Mar Bella up for sale.
